OUR MISSION
The Mission of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers is to help provide a safe and secure community by providing an anonymous means for concerned citizens to provide information that helps law enforcement officials make an arrest or close an open case. And, in doing so, deliver cash rewards to callers whose information has led to an arrest while maintaining their anonymity.

WHO ARE THE CHARLOTTE-MECKLENBURG CRIME STOPPERS?
A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stopper is you and your next door neighbor. It’s the person in the car stopped at the traffic light and the person sitting across the restaurant. It is you because you are interested in a safe and secure community. Reporting information or providing a tip that leads to helping law enforcement arrest criminals makes our community a safer place to live, work and go to school.   SEEKING INFORMATION
On December 18, 2009 an elderly couple came back from lunch to find his wallet and her costume jewelry missing. The couple says the door was locked when they left and locked when they came home. But somebody, somehow got in. Within minutes, his credit card was being used at a nearby Petro Express, a CVS, a Wal-Mart, a Food Lion, a McDonalds, and Cricket store and even at a swanky day spa in SouthPark. The victims live at Brookdale Place Senior Living Center off Rea Road. Police think this may be an inside job. Watch the video report, look at the surveillance pictures (at WBTV.com),and if you can help solve this case, call, text or submit a tip to Crimestoppers.

The family of Ja'Ron McGill are searching for clues in the 19-year-old's murder. It's been five months since McGill was shot and killed around Briargrove Dr.; his body found laying in the street. By all accounts, Ja'Ron was as good a son as any father would want. He worked part-time at the airport while finishing his last year in high school, he was a drummer at his church. Ja'Ron's family - his father, his mother Jackie and 17-year-old brother Josh, can't understand why a kid walking home from his girlfriend's house was ambushed by three men in a car with lights off. The family is doing all it can to get answers, even posting a reward of $5,000.
